CV 90 Armadillo
The CV90 Armadillo is the latest member of the CV90 Family.
The Armadillo is based on the successful CV90 design concept, but has been modified to provide a higher degree of flexibility to meet new threats and adapt to rapidly changing operational environments, thereby introducing a new build standard. The flexible and modular design allows up to 80 percent of commonality between variants and facilitates a low cost change into new roles.
All variants of the Armadillo offer extremely high levels of protection in combination with excellent mobility and a unique payload capacity for vehicles in the same weight class. For the Amoured Personnel Carrier variant the turret has been removed, allowing for a payload capacity of 16 tonnes.
The Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) will be presented at Eurosatory 2010 and other variants include Command and Control, Medevac, Mortar Carrier and Engineer Vehicle.
