Sean Bond
Sean Bond is president of Platform Solutions, a line of business of Electronics & Integrated Solutions (E&IS), an operating group of BAE Systems. This major defense and aerospace electronics business serves military and commercial customers with capabilities and products that improve operational safety and enhance mission effectiveness.
Platform Solutions employs more than 4,500 people at eight locations worldwide, and has its headquarters in Johnson City, New York.
E&IS, with headquarters in Nashua, New Hampshire, is a major defense electronics business with 17,000 employees in 16 U.S. states, the United Kingdom, and Israel.
Bond previously served as vice president of Defense Avionics, a transatlantic business within BAE Systems’ Platform Solutions unit with mission capability solutions related to vehicle management, enhanced visual and network-enabled situational awareness, precision targeting, and human-machine sensory integration. Prior to joining BAE Systems, he was the V-22 program manager at Bell Helicopter Textron, and the JSF119 program manager with Pratt & Whitney Military Engines.
He received a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland. He also studied at the United States Naval Academy, and completed executive leadership programs at Oxford University, Wharton School of Business, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Thunderbird’s Garvin School of International Management.
Sean lives in upstate New York where he is corporate chairman for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s annual Walk to Cure Diabetes.
This operating group designs, develops, and manufactures a wide range of electronic systems and subsystems for military and commercial applications. E&IS offers products and integration services, including electronic warfare and self-protection systems; surveillance and intelligence systems; platform systems; sensor and precision targeting systems; communication, navigation, identification, and reconnaissance systems; large-scale enterprise solutions and information management systems in support of the defense and intelligence communities; mission-specific software and geospatial exploitation products; advanced information technology; and rapid C4ISR prototyping, among others.
