Armament Systems About Us

To meet the challenging mission requirements for U.S. and allied security needs of the 21st century, Armament Systems Division (ASD) supports weapon technology and platform developments.

As a standout provider of leap-ahead weapon and munitions handling technologies for more than 60 years, the division applies a proven skill set of traditional and cutting-edge armament engineering expertise to key Department of Defense systems.

These include the Army's new Future Combat Systems (FCS) Non Line of Sight - Cannon, the Advanced Gun System and the Mk-57 Vertical Launching System for the Navy's new DDG 1000 future surface combatant, the 5-inch Mk 45 Mod 4 Naval Gun System, the 57-mm Mk 110 Naval Gun for both Coast Guard and Navy ships, the 25-mm Mk 38 Mod 2 Weapon System, and missile launch canisters and mechanical components for the Navy's Vertical Launching System, Mk 41.

The division also is advancing into the precision munitions market with its Long Range Land Attack Projection (LRLAP) for the Advanced Gun System and the 57-mm Mk-295 3P ammunition for the Mk-110 Naval Gun. Finally, our leadership in weapon systems development includes new gun systems like our Electromagnetic Gun development work for the Army and Navy.
