BAE Systems open its doors to a host of Naval Celebrations on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th June 2008. A maritime event for all the family was enjoyed by over 15,000 people over the weekend.
Designing, manufacturing and commissioning a nuclear submarine is an undertaking like no other - with the competing demands for high performance, low acoustic signature, survivability and reliability being further complicated by the need for a long service life, high levels of safety and ongoing cost efficiency - all in the inhospitable environment of the deep ocean.
