Corporate aircraft partners launch time-share operation with six Jetstream 32EPs

18 Sep 2001

BAE Systems has delivered six leased Jetstream 32EPs (Serial Numbers 870, 879, 886, 888, 896, 865) to newly launched Corporate Aircraft Partners of Atlanta, GA. The time-share operation offers businesses and individuals private, executive air service in the Eastern United States aboard the 10-seat corporate configured Jetstream 32EP.

CAP's order, announced at last year's National Business Aviation Association Convention with BAE Systems, includes 10 firm Jetstream 32EPs, with another 10 on option.

"We are pleased with CAP's development of the time-share concept for corporate clients and will continue to deliver a number of Jetstream 32EPs throughout the year as new customers sign on for this unique opportunity," said BAE Systems Senior Vice President Asset Management Turboprops Michael Canzian.

Ponder Harrison, President, CAP, noted that they have identified numerous businesses within 750 to 900 miles of their Cartersville, Georgia headquarters (about 45 miles northwest of Atlanta) that are not serviced by commercial airlines. "These companies that offer financial services, industrial construction, retailing and manufacturing are all candidates for CAP service."

"Operating the flexible and economical Jetstream 32EP appeals to companies that want the convenience of a fractional ownership program but not the expense of a jet," Harrison said.

Each Jetstream 32EP features leather seating for 10 to 12 passengers, in addition to a light galley, phone/fax facilities, as well as 110-power for laptop computer hookup onboard.

Independently owned, CAP's main investors consist of ValuJet co-founders Robert Priddy and Lewis Jordan. Priddy is a long-time Jetstream operator and also co-founded regional carriers Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Air Midwest. Before joining CAP, Harrison served as marketing chief at ValuJet and spent 10 years at Delta Air Lines.
