BAE Systems has named Rebekah Nottingham as Vice President, Business Development, for Information and Electronic Warfare Systems (IEWS) in BAE Systems North Americas Washington DC area office.
Mrs Nottingham will provide the business unit with greater insight and the ability to respond strategically to changes in acquisition policy, funding, technology, and our customer base, said Rick Diamond, Vice President, IEWS Business Development. IEWS is a defence electronics business based in Nashua, New Hampshire, with significant operations in four other states Massachusetts, New York, Virginia., and California.
She will also oversee and manage all of the business development field offices and assist the business areas through her expertise in emerging requirements, technology development, and competitive responses to national security needs.
Mrs Nottingham most recently served as Senior Director for Aerospace Electronics Business Development in the Washington, D.C., area for Lockheed Martin Corporation. She was previously Director of Mission Avionics with Lockheed Martin in Washington, D.C., and has more than 20 years of experience in the industry.
A graduate from American University with a bachelor's degree in business management, Mrs Nottingham and her husband, Ellis, and four children live in Arlington, Va.
Information & Electronic Warfare Systems (IEWS), part of BAE Systems North America, employs 4,400 people at eight major facilities in five states of the USA. The business unit is a major producer of aircraft self-protection systems and tactical surveillance and intelligence systems for all branches of the armed forces. Other major business areas include microwave, mission and space electronics; infrared imaging; and automated mission planning systems.
