BAE SYSTEMS Aircraft Trading And Management Services Announces Successful Placement Of A Further Two A320s

28 Apr 2005

BAE Systems Aircraft Trading and Management Services which provides remarketing, lease management, asset administration and advisory services to third party owners and lessors of commercial aircraft, has announced today the successful placement of a further two A320-214 Airbus aircraft on behalf of a consortium of European banks and investors.

The aircraft are two Airbus A320 aircraft built in 1999 and 2000 with serial numbers 1081 and 1370.

The aircraft have been placed with UK based operator Monarch Airlines on operating leases for use on its European network from its London-Luton Airport hub.

Commenting on this recent transaction, Jon Skirrow, Vice President Aircraft Trading and Management Services said: "The placement of these A320 aircraft successfully concludes yet another Airbus aircraft remarketing mandate on behalf of the aircraft owners. Our initial appointment as agent confirmed that we are now seen as one of the leading aircraft remarketing and lease management organisations in the world. We were delighted to be able to reach an agreement on behalf of the owners with Monarch in a relatively short time period and so minimise the time that these aircraft spent on the ground.

We now look forward to building on this success throughout 2005 both with our existing client base and developing partnerships with new clients around the world so that we can reinforce our position as one of the leading aircraft remarketing and lease management operations in the world market."

BAE Systems Aircraft Trading and Management Services currently manages over 70 aircraft on behalf of third party owners/lessors. Aircraft types successfully remarketed and managed include the Airbus A320 family, Airbus A300-600s, Avro RJs, Boeing 737s and Boeing 757s.
