31 Jan 2005

BAE Systems Regional Aircraft completed a successful year placing 25 Jetstreams during 2004. The companys current Jetstream portfolio totals 184 aircraft, comprising 109 Jetstream 32s and 75 Jetstream 41s.

These transactions, which cover new customers in Latin America, Europe and the USA, demonstrate the Jetstreams flexibility to serve various operations, including charter roles in corporate configuration and niche regional airline operations with airline seating.

Some highlights of the 2004 business included:

Direktflyg of Sweden, an operator of eight Jetstream 32s, all of which have been provided on lease by BAE Systems Regional Aircraft, purchased four of the aircraft (Serial Numbers 841, 844, 846, 848). Vertical Aviation of Sanford, Florida purchased three Jetstream 32s (Serial Numbers 894, 899, 901) during the 2004 fourth quarter and recently agreed to acquire a fourth (Serial Number 895). Eastern Airways agreed to purchase and took delivery of three of its leased Jetstream 32s (Serial Numbers 842, 845, 847). The Humberside, UK-based airline operates a fleet of 14 Jetstream 41s and eight of the smaller 19-seat Jetstream 31/32 aircraft and is the largest fleet operator of Jetstreams outside of the United States.

Kystfly A.S., 100% owner of Norwegian regional carrier, Coast Air A.S., has accepted a Jetstream 32 (Serial Number 856) and has contracted to purchase a second Jetstream for delivery in the third quarter of 2005. Established in 1975, Coast Air already flies four Jetstream 31s.
