BAE Systems Regional Aircraft secured two Jetstream operator contracts for the Material and Component Repair and Overhaul (MACRO) programme during the year 2004.
Corporate Airlines of Nashville, Tennessee signed a three-year agreement, which includes an exclusive spares purchasing agreement between the airline and BAE Systems. Direktflyg of Sweden also extended its MACRO agreement for three years. MACRO provides operators a fixed maintenance cost that includes comprehensive spares support for a single fixed rate per aircraft flight hour.
To date, six customers with a total of 73 Jetstreams are covered by MACRO. These include: Jetstream 32 operators Air National (2), Corporate Airlines (17), Direktflyg (8), Origin Pacific (3) and Jetstream 41 carriers Eastern (13), Origin (5) and TransStates (25).
It is our aim to continuously grow the support services and build on our extensive power-by-the-hour experience and worldwide distribution network to meet the requirements of our customers, said David Speirs, Senior Vice President-American Support Regional Aircraft. Customers are pleased with the fixed hourly cost and high service levels provided by the MACRO programmes, he added.
