ROCKVILLE, Maryland -- BAE Systems has been awarded an $8.6 million contract for technical and professional support services for the In-Service Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support department of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Keyport, Washington. The total cumulative value of the contract could reach approximately $54 million if all four one-year options are exercised. The award was made under the Naval Sea Systems Command SeaPort-e multiple award contract.
Under the contract, BAE Systems will provide professional engineering, logistics, and business management services that include combat systems and sonar engineering support, aviation training systems support, sonar training, computer-based training engineering support, technical manual control and maintenance, and performance based logistics administration support. The contract is a continuation of work BAE Systems has performed for NUWC since 1979.
The majority of the work will be performed in Keyport, Wash., with various smaller efforts nationwide supporting aviation training systems.
"This award represents another milestone in an accomplished 27-year partnership with NUWC Keyport," said Doug Belair, president, BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services. Our commitment, as always, is to provide heightened excellence and superior performance to ensure the success of our customer.
