BAE SYSTEMS SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH REALMILD (M) SDN BHD

Kuala Lumpur–YAB Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister, Malaysia and Sir Charles Masefield, President BAE Systems today witnessed the signing of an MOU between BAE Systems and Realmild (M) Sdn Bhd.

Signing on behalf of Realmild (M) Sdn Bhd was Dato’ Abdul Latif bin Abdullah, Executive Chairman and Steve Meighan, Managing Director-Asia Pacific on behalf of BAE Systems.
 
The MOU covers a broad cooperation in the maritime industrial sector. The first project planned to be undertaken under the auspices of the MOU would be the proposed Batch 2 Frigate Programme for the Royal Malaysian Navy.
 
YAB Dato' Sri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister, Malaysia, said: "The Malaysian Government welcomes this collaboration as a means to enhance the nation’s maritime and naval shipbuilding industries."

Sir Charles Masefield, President BAE Systems, said: “Global partnerships are the way forward in the industry.  BAE Systems very much welcomes this important collaboration.  Realmild (M) Sdn Bhd is in a position to become a centre of maritime industrial excellence in the Asia Pacific region.”
