CLARK FREISE TO LEAD BAE SYSTEMS DEFENSE AVIONICS UNIT

JOHNSON CITY, New York — Clark Freise has been named vice president and general manager of BAE Systems’ Defense Avionics business area. Defense Avionics provides advanced solutions in vehicle management, visual and network-enabled situational awareness, precision targeting, and human-machine interface. The business is based in Johnson City, New York, and has facilities in California and in Rochester, U.K.

Freise previously served as deputy general manager of Information Dominance Systems for BAE Systems and was site executive for the company’s Hudson, New Hampshire, facility. Prior to joining BAE Systems, he was vice president at Advanced Power Technologies Inc. He also served as a U.S. naval officer, a scientist at the Naval Research Laboratory and a program manager at the U.S. Department of Energy.

Freise is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Senior Executives’ Program at Harvard University.
