James Garceau
JOHNSON CITY, New York — James J. Garceau of Endicott has been named site executive for BAE Systems’ Johnson City facility. Garceau also serves as the company’s director of U.S. fixed-wing aircraft programs.
As site executive, Garceau leads a team responsible for operation of the local plant, which develops, designs, and produces electronic systems for military and commercial aircraft and large ground vehicles. His role includes providing a safe and productive work environment for the company’s 1,450 local employees and increasing BAE Systems’ visibility in the local community by leading company-sponsored community initiatives.
As director of U.S. fixed-wing programs, he leads teams that provide avionics products and systems to military aircraft including the C-17, F/A-18, F-15, F-22, F-35, and A-10.
A 26-year veteran of the defense and aerospace industry, Garceau has worked at the Johnson City facility for 17 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from Clarkson University.
