MCLEAN, Virginia – BAE Systems has added two former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) experts to its Civilian Solutions business which provides biometrics and forensics support to key customers.
Joe DiZinno joins BAE Systems as a forensics expert with more than two decades of experience at the FBI. Most recently, he was Assistant Director overseeing the FBI laboratory, where he led all laboratory cases and forensic responses. He also served as a special agent and participated in mitochondria DNA research, which led to its first application to forensic casework. Joe began his career with the FBI in 1986.
John Slattery joins BAE Systems after a 30-year career with the FBI where he last served as Deputy Assistant Director for Counterintelligence. As a special agent, John specialized in national security investigations, including more than 10 years of undercover work. He worked extensively with domestic and international law enforcement, security and intelligence partners in the field and supervised national-level programs at FBI headquarters. John served in multiple senior intelligence community assignments including the Presidential-directed position of Chief, Counterespionage Group at the CIA and Chief, Community Programs Group at the Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive.
