Common formats across all media ensure consistency across all materials. Templates in the approved formats have embedded positions for many of the basic design elements so that these take care of themselves. These should remain broadly unchanged, with the other elements organised according to the underlying grid to create final materials.

Print templates

The majority are created for the approved printed formats in Adobe InDesign and Quark Xpress. US formats are based on letter sizes, and international formats on A sizes. All templates are in the approved sizes and contain master pages with embedded colour, stylesheets, and position for the Logo. Some particular stationery and digital applications use templates created in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Digital templates

A company-wide PowerPoint template can be downloaded from this site. Letterheads and internal stationery items are produced using tempates in MS Word 2010. For any online queries, contact the Digital Media Team.

Papers

Common papers are a vital part of a strong brand, helping materials to fit together. Coated or uncoated can be used depending on the level of communication you are using. The papers specified are relatively economic, and have good environmental credentials.
