Geopositioning software
CGS is the Department of Defense standard for precision targeting.
BAE Systems' CGS program represents more than 25 years of development in the field of precision targeting and photogrammetric applications.
The combination of geopositioning services and commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) electronic light table application, SOCET GXP™, provides a system for precision geolocation, with 3-D coordinates and statistically valid error estimates that is easy to learn and use.
CGS delivers government, off-the-shelf (GOTS) applications that can be integrated into systems with architectures similar to DCGS-N, DCGS-A, and DCGS-AF 10.2. CGS also provides to other COTS and GOTS ELTs and viewers, and other targeting, command and control, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems.
CGS APPLICATIONS
Several GOTS applications are provided with CGS to support end-to-end use as a targeting workstation. Workflow wizards are included with CGS to simplify user interactions. Geopositioning, resection, and joint targeting toolkit workflows are standard with CGS, and an “expert mode” geopositioning function enables ultrafast TCT operations.
