CATS-RT offers complete radar handling and ensures full understanding of equipment features. Developed for air traffic control and air defence systems, it is widely applicable in other areas. Individual exercises can be done on a standard PC using Windows. Evaluation can take place directly on the simulator or results can be transferred to a PC for later exercises.
Adaptability
CATS-RT is adaptable to virtually any radar system or training condition to fully prepare personnel for real situations. Using their control data, CATS-RT can be adapted to specific radar systems. Software can be modified or replaced to correspond to the specifications of the simulated radar with respect to visual presentation, filtering, detection algorithms, targe tracking etc.
PPIS can either be completely computer generated or consist of true radar PPI with overlaid echoes. CATS-RT supports electronic warfare scenarios and can stand alone or be integrated into a larger system of other CATS simulators.
The system is based on the latest developments in multimedia. The CATS concept is founded on software developed according to the latest programming techniques and more than a decade of experience.
