JTIDS Class 2H terminal
The Link 16 – JTIDS class 2H terminal offers full interoperability with all other JTIDS terminals, and adds capability for 1000 watts of radio frequency output power. The core class 2H terminal consists of three line replaceable units: the receiver/transmitter, the data processor group, and the high power amplifier group.
The receiver/transmitter operates in the 960 to 1215 MHz band, provides time division multiple access signal transmission and reception, and performs all tactical air navigation signal processing. Since JTIDS shares operation in the tactical air navigation and identification friend or foe frequency band, the terminal is equipped with extensive interference protection features that effectively monitor radio frequency emission and prevent interference to those systems in the event of out-of-specification JTIDS equipment condition.
