AN/URC-107(V)

JTIDS Class 2 terminal

JTIDS Class 2 terminal

JTIDS terminals operate in L-band, concurrent with systems such as IFF and TACAN, using spread spectrum techniques to distribute encrypted information reliably in a hostile environment. Extensive interference protection features effectively monitor radio frequency emission and prevent interference to these systems.

Class 2 terminals provide:

  • Secure, jam-resistant, digital data and voice communication
  • Position determination using both integral relative navigation and TACAN
  • Cooperative identification between subscribers

The system consists of a receiver/transmitter (R/T) and a data processor group (DPG).

JTIDS Class 2 Terminal Features:

  • Secure, jam-resistant connectivity
  • High throughput
  • Distributed network control
  • Service and NATO interoperability
  • Omnidirectional
  • Long-range coverage
  • Dual-mode identification
  • Full-performance TACAN
  • Accurate position data
