TCDL surface terminal
The TCDL surface terminal accommodates tactical field operations, providing two-person setup in just 30 minutes. The design includes a 400-meter fiber optic cable between the radiating antenna/modem assemblies and Link Interface Unit.
The surface terminal uses a common open architecture system design, which is based on the PCMIA standard. This design approach allows for a fully programmable, adaptable and scalable system. Data rates, modulation and transmission frequencies are interoperable with CDL.
An omni antenna is incorporated in the antenna assembly for close-in operations. The nominal uplink data rate of 200 Kbps includes direct sequence, spread-spectrum modulation and uplink and downlink data rates up to 45 Mbps are available.
