Common automatic special test equipment
CASTE is a requirements-driven test system approach that leverages commercial off-the-shelf test instrumentation and components within a common open architecture. This allows low-cost, quick turnaround of test systems that meet specific customer requirements. CASTE testers have been employed for numerous programs such as the F-2 stores management set, portable search and track radar, and AN/ALQ-156 missile warning system.
