MIM500™ series of uncooled infrared camera cores
Developed to meet the demanding performance requirements of military programs, the MIM500™ series defines the new standard for ruggedness, imaging performance, and advanced features in an uncooled infrared camera core.
Aimed at the commercial and military original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and integrator markets, the MIM500X, based on BAE Systems' 640x480 MicroIR® technology, is ideal for applications requiring the highest available resolution to meet range and/or pixel-on-target requirements. For less demanding applications, the 320x240 resolution of the MIM500H is the perfect solution.
ADVANCED FEATURE SET
Advanced features, such as gen-lock synchronization and customization boards, ensure that the MIM500 series can be configured to meet specific application requirements. The gen-lock design enables the MIM500 pixel timing to be synchronized to the system clock of third-party hardware. Should it be necessary to add a custom capability, the expandable back-end board stack allows customization boards to be integrated directly into the stack without the need for additional cables or connectors.
OPEN ARCHITECTURE
A MIPS process and WindRiver Vx-Works real-time operating system combine to deliver a powerful standard feature set and provide an open architecture designed to accommodate application-specific software options.
FLEXIBLE FORM FACTOR
The MIM500 series of uncooled infrared camera cores provides a unique degree of configuration flexibility to the OEM and integrator. A flex cable between the front-end card and back-end electronics provides the end user with the flexibility to adjust the camera core layout to meet critical packaging constraints.
UNIVERSAL OPTICS MOUNTING PLATE
A universal mounting plate with integral shutter assembly allows the end user to configure the MIM500 series core with the optic required to meet specific OEM and integrator requirements.
