The autonomous security fencing system (ASFS) is an array of linked, ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless sensors and receivers that create an electronic security grid (fence) for protecting military facilities, buildings, aircraft, runways, parking aprons, and storage areas.
By intercepting and tracking intruders, these low-cost sensors are the size of a small transistor radio and can be spaced up to 200 feet apart. The ASFS can perform as a standalone system, or be integrated into existing security systems (cameras, electro-optic, infrared) and acoustic and motion sensors to improve overall security system effectiveness and enhance situational awareness.
