Mk 25 Quad Pack Canister
BAE Systems is the U.S. Navy's exclusive design agent and worldwide supplier of Vertical Launching System (VLS) Mk 41 canisters.
Since establishing canister and launcher module configuration nearly 20 years ago, BAE Systems innovations to canister design and integration continue to expand VLS Mk 41 multi-mission capabilities.
BAE Systems is currently producing the Mk 25 Quad Pack Canister to increase firepower and effectiveness of the VLS Mk 41. The Mk 25 Quad Pack Canister adapts the Evolved SeaSparrow Missile (ESSM) to VLS Mk 41 by providing storage and launch capability for four ESSMs in the same space envelope currently used to accommodate a single SM-2 or VL/RIM-7 missile.
BAE Systems initiated full-scale production of 60 Mk 25 Quad Pack Canisters in 2001 for NATO ESSM Consortium naval forces and captured its fifth canister production contract in 2005 to total 192 units for delivery through March 2007.
