Lawrence B. Prior, III

Lawrence B. Prior, III is executive vice president of Service Sectors for BAE Systems Inc. He is responsible for building and strengthening senior-level customer relationships, developing market strategies, executing integrated business plans, and driving productivity improvements across the company's service businesses. He also represents BAE Systems Inc. on the company's Executive Committee.

Prior previously served as president and chief operating officer of ManTech International Corporation, where he led a global team and drove growth in the support, cyber, and national security markets. Before joining ManTech, he was an executive at SAIC Inc., serving in a variety of leadership positions including chief operating officer and president of the Intelligence, Security, and Technology Group. Earlier, Prior was CEO, president, and chief financial officer at LightPointe Technology Group and president and chief operating officer of High Technology Solutions, where he reorganized and directed the small, disadvantaged minority business into four successful units aligned with specific markets.

During his career, Prior also served as chief administrative officer for San Diego County, where he led the financial turnaround of one of the largest counties in the U.S. and achieved multiple upgrades to the county's debt rating. His efforts earned him election to the San Diego County Taxpayers Association Hall of Fame. In the 1990s, he held multiple executive positions at TRW.

Prior was a professional staff member to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, focusing on national and tactical intelligence; command, control, communications and intelligence; special operations and low-intensity conflict; and Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He also served for more than a decade as a U.S. Marine Corps intelligence officer.

Prior earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and a master's in security studies from Georgetown University.
 
Prior currently serves on the board of the Marine Corps Association Foundation.
